My Story
Thanks for stopping by to get to know me a bit. I’m Sarah! My passion for the human body and how it moves began long before my formal education. I grew up as a very active individual, playing sports like Volleyball, Track, Swimming, Basketball and other fun outdoor activities like hiking, biking, and skateboarding; during my involvement over the many years, I would undergo some of my own injuries and recovery processes. This upbringing instilled in me a deep curiosity for movement, injury prevention, rehabilitation. That passion for movement and understanding how our bodies work eventually led me to pursue formal training.
My path began back in 2014 at the Santa Barbara Massage Therapy Institute, where I first experienced the profound impact of therapeutic hands-on bodywork. After attending a Trigger Point class to successfully address low back pain, I was hooked. I knew I wanted to dedicate myself to helping others feel better in their bodies, so I became a Massage Therapist. After a few years of work I realized that I had a passion to learn more about the capabilities of the human body and how it moves so I decided to pursue more education. My desire to understand movement more deeply led me to Santa Barbara City College, where I earned my Associate's degree in Kinesiology in 2021 while simultaneously obtaining my Yoga Teacher Certification. This really built a strong foundation in my understanding for how our bodies function. Understanding the mechanics of movement became just as important to me as understanding the body through touch. To further deepen my expertise, I attended Westmont College in Montecito hills and earned my bachelor's degree in Exercise Science in 2024. This program allowed me to dive even deeper into the principles of functional movement and its critical role in recovery, health, and overall vitality.
I truly believe that by thoughtfully combining the benefits of therapeutic bodywork with personalized, intentional movement, we can significantly enhance a person's well-being and support lasting health.I'm genuinely passionate about the human body and the incredible ways we can support our well-being through movement and touch. I believe that by combining the therapeutic benefits of hands-on work with intentional, functional movement, we can unlock our innate ability to heal and thrive. I'm excited to share this integrated approach with you and support you on your journey towards feeling your absolute best.
